Dauguma „Mac OS X“ valdomų kompiuterių infekuoti trojanu „BackDoor.Flashback.39“. Virusas buvo aptiktas balandžio 4 dieną, tačiau nuo to laiko jo apkrėstų kompiuterių beveik nesumažėjo, nepaisant to, kad buvo išleisti įrankiai kovai su šia kenkėjiška programa.
„Sophos“ atliktas tyrimas patvirtina, jog „Apple“ kompiuterių savininkai skiria mažai dėmesio kovai su kenkėjiška programine įranga. Dažnai aptikti virusai buvo išleisti 2007 metais, todėl bet kuri šiuolaikinė antivirusinė programa galėtų lengvai juos aptikti.
